Joe Igbokwe, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), stated that the South-East region of Nigeria will no longer endure criminal activities in light of the recent cancellation of a sit-at-home order.

Igbokwe emphasized that efforts are being made to reclaim the region from criminal influences. In a Facebook post, he remarked, “All things considered, we have gradually taken back South-East. Never again will Igboland suffer this level of criminality in the 21st century.”

He continued by asserting the importance of education for the common good, emphasizing that it should not be taken lightly.

Igbokwe also criticized certain individuals associated with the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), who previously organized youth protests, calling their actions misguided and urging for a more unified community outlook.

This announcement follows the IPOB’s decision to rescind the sit-at-home order previously enforced in the region.
