‘I No Small’ – Stanley Ontop Reacts To Frederick Leonard’s Defamation Petition

Nollywood Filmmaker Responds to Defamation Allegations

Nigerian filmmaker and media personality Stanley Ontop has addressed allegations of defamation made by fellow actor Frederick Leonard. The claims were outlined in a petition filed against Ontop, which Leonard alleges has damaged his reputation.

According to Naija News, the petition, dated January 28, 2026, was submitted to the Delta State Police Command by Leonard’s legal representatives, Uche Okoro & Co. The document asserts that Ontop has made repeated statements harmful to Leonard’s image over the past two years without justification.

Leonard contends that the filmmaker has disseminated narratives that misrepresented him, contributing to a negative public perception. He describes Ontop’s actions as intentional and detrimental to both his personal and professional life.

On Monday, Leonard publicized the petition via his Instagram account, indicating his readiness to pursue legal action and hold those responsible accountable.

In response, Ontop took to Instagram, stating he awaits a police summons and is prepared to address the matter in court. “See y’all in court. I’m waiting for the police invitation. Ontop no small,” he posted.
