Gunmen Abduct Four Family Members in Kaduna State

DANHONO 2, Kaduna State — At least four members of a family were abducted by armed assailants in the early hours of February 9 in Danhono 2 village, located in Millennium City, law enforcement officials confirmed.

Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency and security expert active in the Lake Chad region, reported that the attack occurred around 12:05 a.m. at the residence of Abdulgafar Abdulrazak. Among the victims are Abdulrazak and his wife, Nafisa, 41; their daughter, Ummu Salma, 13; and Abdulrazak’s sister, Maryam, 10.

Following the incident, the Divisional Police Officer mobilized patrol teams to the area. Troops from the Nigerian Army Strike Force, the Special Police Unit, and local vigilante groups were also deployed to assist in the search for the abducted individuals.

Authorities cordoned off nearby bushes and alerted neighboring security divisions and vigilante groups to support the response efforts.

As of the latest updates, attempts to reach Mansir Hassan, the State Police Public Relations Officer, for further comment were unsuccessful, as his phone was unreachable.
