Governor Soludo Extends Eid-el-Maulud Greetings to Muslims in Anambra and Beyond
Anambra State Governor Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has offered his warm regards to the Muslim community in Anambra State and across Nigeria in celebration of Eid-el-Maulud.
In a goodwill message, Governor Soludo described the observance of the birth of Prophet Muhammad as a significant opportunity for spiritual reflection. He emphasized that the life and teachings of the Prophet continue to serve as a vital source of guidance for society, rooted in principles such as compassion, honesty, humility, justice, and service to others.
“Eid-el-Maulud is not just a celebration of a birth; it serves as an invitation to embrace the timeless values exemplified by the Prophet, including mercy, truthfulness, tolerance, and love for one another,” the governor stated.
In a press release from his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime, Governor Soludo urged all residents of Anambra, regardless of faith, to draw inspiration from these virtues in their daily lives. He encouraged individuals to practice these principles at home, in the workplace, and in the public sphere, as they work collectively to foster a more peaceful, just, and prosperous society.
The governor acknowledged the peaceful coexistence and mutual respect exhibited by Muslims and Christians in Anambra State, calling it a model of unity in diversity for the rest of Nigeria.
