Nollywood Actress Addresses Rumors in Instagram Video
Nollywood actress Juliana Olayode has recently addressed ongoing rumors within the entertainment industry during a video posted on her Instagram account on February 5, 2026. Known for her role as Toyosi, or “Toyo Baby,” in the popular television series Jenifa’s Diary, Olayode expressed her decision to respond due to the emotional impact that recent stories have had on her.
In the video, Olayode described the rumors as harmful and questioned the motivations behind the spread of falsehoods about others. She emphasized her commitment to her Christian faith, which she said influences her professional choices and personal boundaries.
The actress clarified that she is open to collaborating with any producer or director, provided the script and character align with her values. She reiterated her stance on intimate scenes, stating that she refrains from onscreen kissing in accordance with her beliefs.
Olayode acknowledged that while individuals are entitled to their opinions about her as an actress, spreading misinformation is both damaging and hurtful. She has previously declined roles that conflict with her principles and remains guided by her faith in selecting projects.
“So I want to clear the air. There is absolutely no producer or director I cannot work with. None. I am open and willing to work with anyone, as long as the story and my role do not go against my consecration to God,” she stated.
“It’s true that I wouldn’t kiss in movies,” she added. “It’s okay if you don’t like me. It’s okay if you say I’m not a good actor; it’s okay if you don’t want to work with me. But lying about me is deeply wrong and hurtful.”
