Nigerian actress, Atinuke Kareem dies from cancer

Nigerian actress Atinuke Remilekun Kareem, known professionally as Atinuke Kareem, has passed away after an extended battle with breast cancer.
Owolabi Ajasa, governor of the Ogun State chapter of the Theater Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), confirmed her death in an announcement made on Tuesday afternoon via Instagram.
In his statement, Ajasa expressed gratitude to those who provided financial assistance, prayer, and support during Kareem’s treatment. “We sincerely appreciate everyone who contributed financially, offered prayers, encouragement, and support towards the treatment of our dear colleague, Atinuke Remilekun Kareem,” he wrote.
Despite the collective efforts and prayers, Ajasa stated, “Sadly, despite all our efforts and prayers, Atinuke has passed on and answered the final call.” He also added, “We cannot question the Almighty God. We can only submit to His will and pray that He grants her eternal rest and gives her family, colleagues, and loved ones the strength to bear this painful loss.”
Reports indicate that Atinuke Kareem’s death comes four months after she publicly sought financial help for her medical treatment.
