Residents of Ja’oji Quarters in the Gyadi-Gyadi area of Tarauni Local Government, Kano State, were alarmed early Wednesday morning when the body of a young deaf man was discovered hanging in the vicinity.
The incident occurred at dawn as locals prepared for the Fajr prayer, prompting immediate concern within the community. Eyewitnesses reported that the body was found shortly after daybreak, alarming nearby residents.

According to Abbas, the young man was accused of being involved in a disputed transaction, and money related to the issue had reportedly been recovered from him.
“The young man struggled with psychological issues stemming from this financial matter. It was a difficult situation for him,” Abbas added.
He urged parents and guardians to monitor their children’s behavior and social interactions to help prevent similar distressing circumstances. “We call on families to pay attention to the emotional and social well-being of their children. The community must also support young people facing mental and life challenges,” he emphasized.
