Ferran Torres Advocates for Spanish Winner of 2026 Ballon d’Or
Paris Saint-Germain forward Ferran Torres is advocating for a member of the Spain national team to claim the 2026 Ballon d’Or.
Torres is currently among the 30 finalists nominated for the prestigious award. The 26-year-old played a pivotal role in Spain’s recent success, scoring the decisive goal in the World Cup final, where Spain triumphed over Argentina.
He is one of six Spanish players who won the World Cup featured on the nominee list, joining fellow teammates Rodri, the 2024 Ballon d’Or winner, and Lamine Yamal, who finished as last year’s runner-up.
“I hope it will be a Spanish player to win the Ballon d’Or,” Torres stated.
In addition to his international achievements, Torres captured the LaLiga title with Barcelona in May before transferring to Paris Saint-Germain over the summer.
