NCDC Requires Health Declarations for Travellers from Ebola-Affected Countries
Travellers arriving in Nigeria from regions with reported Ebola transmission must complete the Nigeria Health Declaration Form and undergo public health screening, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC).
The NCDC mandates that incoming passengers provide their travel, health, and contact information via an online declaration system. Additionally, there is a compulsory 21-day post-arrival health monitoring period.
This requirement specifically affects travellers from Burundi, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and South Sudan.
The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has informed airlines and other relevant aviation service providers about these updated health measures.
Passengers are encouraged to review the latest guidance from the NCDC prior to departing, as public health protocols may evolve in response to the current Ebola situation.
