Davido is most influential Nigerian under 40 – Asa Asika claims

Asa Asika, a prominent talent manager, has declared that Nigerian singer David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, holds the title of the most influential Nigerian under the age of 40.

During an episode of The Manager’s Playbook podcast, hosted by Mauricio Ruiz, Asika emphasized Davido’s significant social media presence, noting that he is the most followed Nigerian on nearly all major platforms.

“I often tell him that he’s kind of like the President of Nigeria,” Asika remarked, highlighting Davido’s pervasive influence. He also pointed out the resilience the artist has shown in the face of various controversies, suggesting that many other artists would not have been able to maintain their careers under similar circumstances.

Asika further illustrated Davido’s marketability, stating, “Davido is a walking billboard. Every brand wants to associate with him. We haven’t paid for a music video with our own money in ages.”
