Delta State Police Arrest Secondary Education Commissioner After Deputy Director’s Death
The Delta State Police Command has arrested Kingsley Ashibogwu, the Commissioner for Secondary Education, along with three additional suspects in connection with the death of Unity Ekpevbughe Adeda, a Deputy Director in the ministry.
The arrests are part of an expanding investigation into the circumstances surrounding Adeda’s death, according to a statement released Monday by police spokesman Bright Edafe. The current number of individuals in custody in relation to the case has risen to five.
As of this report, the identities of the three additional suspects have not been disclosed. The police have also named two more individuals, Mrs. Clementine Ufuoma, Director of Basic and Secondary Education, and Clement Apia, the commissioner’s driver, as persons of interest in the investigation.
The police statement emphasized the ongoing nature of the inquiry into the incident surrounding Adeda’s death, highlighting the commitment to uncovering all pertinent facts as the investigation progresses.
