October 1: Delta youths clash tear Tinubu-branded polos, boycott Independence Day Run[VIDEO]

A protest broke out at PTI Junction in Delta State on Tuesday as youths gathered for a 5-kilometer Independence Day Run voiced their anger over the distribution of T-shirts featuring the image of President Bola Tinubu.

Participants expressed surprise and dissatisfaction when the event organizers began handing out “Soft Nigeria” polo shirts adorned with Tinubu’s likeness. Many attendees felt misled by the inclusion of the President’s image, prompting some to tear the shirts in protest.

The unrest intensified, with some participants threatening to boycott the Independence Day Run in response to the organizers’ actions.
