Mecca Alliance Activates Collective Deterrence Following Houthi Attacks
Published on Oct. 5, 2026
The Mecca Alliance has announced plans to implement collective deterrence measures in response to recent attacks by Yemen’s Houthi group on Saudi Arabia.
In a statement released on Monday, the Pakistani Foreign Ministry confirmed that Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Turkiye have reached an agreement to mobilize military forces and capabilities for rapid deployment to the kingdom.
This development occurs as the Saudi-backed Yemeni government intensifies its counteroffensive efforts to reclaim territory lost to the Iran-aligned Houthis in the previous month.
Further updates are expected.
