NPFL: How Rivers United can win the league title – Finidi
Rivers United Technical Adviser Finidi George has emphasized the club’s commitment to securing victories in all of their home matches during the current Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
Reflecting on the previous season, Finidi noted that the team’s dropped points at home were instrumental in their failure to clinch the league title. Rivers United has started the season strong, winning all three of their home games thus far.
Alongside Kano Pillars, Rivers United remains unbeaten this season, marking both clubs as the only teams without a loss.
“Our focus this season is to win all our home games,” Finidi stated in an interview with the club’s media team. He acknowledged the difficulty of the goal but expressed determination to achieve it. “We lost the NPFL title last season due to a defeat against Bayelsa United and other draws at home. We ended the season just one point short, but we are optimistic that every home match can be won this time, while also playing attractive football.”
Rivers United’s next challenge will be against Abia Warriors.
