NPFL: Why Ranchers Bees lost to Kwara United – Abdallah

Ranchers Bees technical adviser Usman Abdallah attributed his team’s 2-1 defeat to Kwara United to a lack of experience among the players. The match, part of the Nigeria National League, was held in Ilorin last weekend.

Ranchers Bees initially took the lead in the seventh minute with a goal from Jamilu Yusuf. However, Kwara United levelled the score in the 51st minute when Toheed Gidado found the back of the net. Stephen Gideon then secured the victory for Kwara United with a decisive goal in the 71st minute.

Despite the setback, Abdallah expressed pride in his team’s determination throughout the match. “Ranchers Bees are a Nigeria National League team that just gained promotion. Fifty percent of my players have never played in the NPFL,” he stated after the game.

Abdallah emphasized the unique challenges of the Nigerian Professional Football League, noting, “Sometimes you will play well and lose the match due to small mistakes. This is what the team needs to work on, putting the right players in the right positions because experience can be the deciding factor in games.”

He concluded by highlighting his players’ resolve, stating, “They showed determination in the game, and they needed the three points.”
