Former Big Brother Naija Contestant Tacha Akide Discusses Her Private Relationship

LAGOS, Nigeria — Tacha Akide, a former contestant on the reality show Big Brother Naija, has disclosed that she is currently in a relationship but will not publicly acknowledge her partner until there is a formal commitment, such as an engagement ring.

During an appearance on the Morayo Afolabi show, Tacha explained her preference for keeping her romantic life out of the public eye. She expressed concerns over the unpredictability of relationships and her desire to avoid publicly identifying a partner only to later face a breakup.

“I would say that he’s somebody I like, but who knows? I could be on the show next week and say I’m not in a relationship, break up and come back, but for now I’m in a relationship,” Tacha said.

The reality star emphasized that having a significant other helps mitigate the loneliness often experienced in the entertainment industry. “In this industry, you need that one person because it is always lonely at the top,” she noted.

When discussing her ideal partner, Tacha described her preference for a person who maintains a quiet demeanor in public but is expressive when they are together. She also emphasized that she values qualities such as hard work, financial stability, and a strong commitment to faith in a partner.
