Kidnapped Kaduna man, wife, child regain freedom

A man and his family who were abducted in Kaduna State have been released. Ahmed Abubakar Zakka, his wife, and their six-month-old daughter, Fatima, regained their freedom on Thursday and are currently en route back to Kaduna metropolis.
A retired security officer, who worked with a team to secure their release, confirmed the information. Speaking on condition of anonymity, he stated that the family is traveling home in a vehicle accompanied by his driver.
“Yes, they are on their way back home with my driver,” he said. “It was the efforts of my team and some private individuals that led to their release.”
Zakka, his wife, and their daughter were abducted from their home in Millennium City, Chikun Local Government Area, on October 6. A few days later, a video surfaced online showing Zakka and his daughter in captivity, eliciting widespread outrage.
