‘Where the money dey’ — Portable questions VeryDarkMan over Burna Boy’s N200m donation
Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has publicly questioned social media activist VeryDarkMan regarding the reported donation of 200 million naira by fellow musician Burna Boy for a school project. In a recent video, Portable raised concerns about the transparency of how the funds were allocated.
Portable criticized VeryDarkMan for creating wall portraits, specifically questioning why he chose to depict footballer Adebayo instead of Burna Boy, the individual who made the financial contribution. “Burna Boy gave you money; what did you use it for?” Portable asked. “This is NGO money—where is the money?”
He further alleged, “You are fighting for your pocket. Burna Boy gave you over 200 million naira to build a school, but you will build a house for personal use.”
