A suspected member of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), along with his wife and two sons, surrendered to military forces in Pulka, located in the Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State, officials reported.

The information was shared by counterterrorism expert Zagazola Makama in a statement released on social media platform X on Friday. The surrender took place on October 21 at the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Pulka.

The suspected individual turned himself in to troops from the 192 Battalion (Motorised), which operates under the 26 Task Force Brigade. During the process, military personnel recovered one mobile phone from the family.

Currently, the suspected terrorist and his family are in military custody for further investigation and subsequent action.
