Taraba polytechnic disowns publication on proposed relocation to Suntai

Taraba State Polytechnic Disavows AI-Generated Publication on Relocation
JALINGO, Nigeria — Taraba State Polytechnic has officially disassociated itself from a publication titled “Jalingo Residents Oppose Polytechnic Relocation,” labeling it an AI-generated article that does not reflect the institution’s official stance.
In a disclaimer issued on November 2, 2026, and signed by the Polytechnic’s Public Relations Officer, Varisca E. Habila, the administration clarified that the article, which appeared on a local online platform, was neither created nor endorsed by the management.
“Taraba State Polytechnic, Suntai, had no connection whatsoever with the content, claims, and conclusions contained in the publication,” the statement read. The management emphasized that any official communications regarding the proposed relocation would be made through the institution’s official notice boards and social media channels.
The statement also raised concerns about images included in the publication, particularly those purported to depict students and the entrance gate of the polytechnic. The management noted that the individuals shown were not recognized as students of the institution, and the gate featured in the article did not appear to belong to the polytechnic. They indicated that these observations remain subject to verification.
In its concluding remarks, Taraba State Polytechnic urged the public to disregard the misleading publication to avoid misinformation and misunderstandings. The management also reiterated its dedication to supporting the administration of Governor Agbu Kefas, highlighting its shared commitment to enhancing the quality of education and elevating educational standards in Taraba State.
