Nollywood Actor Stanley Ontop Arrested on Campus

ASABA, Delta State — Stanley Ontop, a Nollywood actor and social media influencer, was arrested Friday afternoon at Dennis Osadebe University, where he is currently a law student. The arrest occurred following a petition filed by an unidentified individual.

In an Instagram story, Ontop expressed his frustration over the circumstances surrounding his arrest. He claimed that he had not received any prior invitation from law enforcement. “Some policemen came to my school this afternoon to arrest me over a petition from an unknown person,” he wrote. “How can you invade a university to effect my arrest? What happened to an invitation?”

The incident comes just a week after actor Frederick Leonard filed a petition against Ontop, alleging defamation.

A spokesperson for the police has not yet commented on the matter.
