During a separate livestream, Boniface reached out to Carterefe by phone to express his disapproval. “What you and Peller did is unacceptable. You are currently on livestream, and I want to talk to you privately. Let me know when you are done streaming,” he stated.

Following Boniface’s critique, Carterefe appeared to show remorse for the actions taken during the livestream. Despite this, backlash from online users has continued, with many warning that such violent stunts could have severe consequences, referencing similar incidents in other countries that resulted in tragic outcomes.
