Annie Macaulay Clarifies Parenting Status Amid Separation from 2Face Idibia
LAGOS — Actress Annie Macaulay has stated that she does not identify as a single mother despite her ongoing separation from her estranged husband, musician 2Face Idibia.
In a recent post on Instagram, Macaulay expressed her perspective, saying, “I’m not a single mom. I’m a single woman raising two kids.”
This clarification follows a public announcement made by Idibia in January 2025, in which he disclosed that he and Macaulay were separating and proceeding with divorce proceedings, citing ongoing issues in their marriage.
Shortly after the split was made public, Idibia revealed his new relationship with Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawuru.
In the wake of his announcement, Macaulay briefly removed Idibia’s surname from her social media profiles before reverting to it.
The couple married in 2012 and has two daughters, Isabella and Olivia Idibia. Throughout their 13-year marriage, they faced significant public scrutiny and personal challenges. Currently, Macaulay holds custody of their children.
