You have no respect – Yul Edochie blasts Arise TV Anchor Rufai Oseni

Nollywood Actor Yul Edochie Criticizes Arise TV Anchor Rufai Oseni in Viral Video
Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has directed sharp criticism at Arise Television anchor Rufai Oseni in a video that has garnered widespread attention on social media.
In the footage, Edochie questions Oseni’s credibility as a political commentator, referencing a past incident in which Oseni was allegedly caught driving in a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) lane in Lagos. “Is this not the same Rufai Oseni that was caught driving on the BRT lane?” Edochie asks in the video.
He claims that when confronted by officials about the incident, Oseni responded by asserting his importance, stating, “Do you know who I am? I’m going to call the governor of Lagos State.” Edochie suggests that Oseni only offered an apology after a video of the encounter was released online. “If not because somebody had a video, you could not even apologize. If there was no video, what would have happened?” he remarked.
Edochie also accused Oseni of creating a hostile environment during interviews, raising concerns about Oseni’s conduct when interacting with guests. “How can you invite somebody and make the guest uncomfortable? If a guest is not comfortable, the first thing you do is apologize and make them feel at ease,” Edochie stated. He further criticized Oseni for suggesting that guests could leave if they felt uncomfortable during interviews.
In addition to his remarks about Oseni, Edochie defended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging critics to show respect and allow the new administration some time to adjust. “Jagaban President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the President of Nigeria, whether you like it or not. He is our President; you must respect him. The man just came in. Give him time. Rome was not built in a day,” he said.
The video has sparked conversations online, reflecting the tensions surrounding both media conduct and the current political climate in Nigeria.
