Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka stirred surprise among fans after admitting he is unfamiliar with Canadian singer Celine Dion and has never heard any of her songs.
During a recent conversation with Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Tems, Saka inquired about her musical influences. When Tems mentioned Dion as one of her idols, Saka candidly responded that he did not recognize the iconic vocalist.
Saka asked, “You said you were nine when you started singing. Did you have any idols or singers you loved?”
Tems replied, “I loved Celine Dion.”
To this, Saka expressed his surprise, saying, “I don’t know who that is.” He later added, “Is that bad?”
Tems, taken aback, responded, “Oh, my gosh. Celine Dion!”
