King Mitchy apologizes to Seyi Tinubu, VeryDarkMan

Social Media Personality King Mitchy Apologizes for Incident During Live Video
Popular social media influencer King Mitchy has issued a public apology to her followers in Nigeria following backlash over a recent live video in which she admitted to consuming a substance on air.
In a video posted on her Instagram page, Mitchy reflected on her actions and recognized their impact, particularly on young girls who look up to her. “I’m ready to be held accountable for my actions. For some days I’ve thought about my behavior, and I know that I was wrong,” she stated.
The social media personality expressed regret for her decision to take the substance during the live broadcast, acknowledging that her actions were inappropriate and contributed to disappointing her audience. “I want to be held accountable for the substance I took on live video. That was very wrong of me because there are young girls that look up to me, and I know I disappointed a lot of people,” she added.
Mitchy also directed her apology toward Seyi Tinubu, whom she referred to as her boss. Although she had previously apologized in private, she felt it necessary to address the matter publicly due to its visibility. “My boss, ST Seyi Tinubu, I’m so sorry. I know I apologised privately, but I disrespected you publicly, so I want to apologize publicly. I’m so sorry, sir,” she said.
Additionally, she extended her apology to the Ooni of Ife, expressing regret for involving his name in the controversy. “To the Ooni of Ife, I’m so sorry for bringing your name into this, daddy,” she said.
Mitchy recognized the work of activist VeryDarkMan, whom she had previously confronted. “To VeryDarkMan, my brother, I see what you’re fighting for; you’re fighting for Nigeria, and we can make Nigeria a better place. I’m sorry for coming at you like that. Maybe now I understand you better,” she remarked.
She concluded by highlighting the need for support for activists in their efforts to improve Nigeria. “You need more supporters, not people to fight you. I’m sorry, my brother. Thank you,” Mitchy stated.
