‘Animals’ – Davido reacts to bullying in Edo school

Edo State School Bullying Incident Sparks Outrage
AFROBEAT singer David Adeleke, known as Davido, voiced his condemnation on social media over a viral video depicting a severe bullying incident involving students from Igbinedion Secondary School in Edo State.
On Sunday, Davido took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his dismay at the footage showing two male students physically assaulting a third student who was down on the ground. In his post, he described the culprits using strong language, highlighting the disturbing nature of the incident.
The video captures a confrontation in which one of the aggressors drags the victim by his school uniform and repeatedly stomps on his chest and head, eliciting cries of pain from the boy. A third student, who was recording the attack, can be heard pleading with the assailants to stop.
The graphic nature of the footage led to widespread indignation on social media, prompting immediate action from the school’s administration. In response, Igbinedion Secondary School expelled the students directly involved in the bullying and suspended the student who recorded the incident.
The Edo State Police Command confirmed these disciplinary measures. Police spokesperson Eno Ikioyedem stated that the Commissioner of Police, Monday Agbonika, has instructed the Divisional Police Officer in the region to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.
“The Edo State Police Command strongly condemns acts of bullying, violence, or intimidation among students,” the statement read. “Anyone found culpable will face the full weight of the law.”
