NDLEA intercepts millions of Tramadol tablets in latest bust



Brigadier-General Mohammed Marwa (retd), the designated head of the anti-drug body had promised that the organization would ramp up its activities against traffickers prior to the Christmas season and it seems those efforts are already bearing fruit with these busts. The suspect in this case, Ezekiel Ibe, was arrested and was found in the possession of over five tons of high milligrams Tramadol; 225mg and 100mg recovered from his warehouse.


In a statement by the organization’s spokesperson regarding the latest round of arrests, Mr Femi Babafemi said of the raids, “In another raid on Monday, December 20 following tasking surveillance in a notorious neighborhood at Alaba Rago, Alaba area of Lagos, one Surajo Mohammed was arrested with 941.14kg cannabis while 56,782 bottles of codeine were seized from the store of another drug lord still at large.”
