Former APGA Candidate Reagan Ufomba Joins Labour Party

Reagan Ufomba, a former governorship candidate for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has officially left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join the Labour Party (LP).

Ufomba’s defection was formally announced on Wednesday during an event in Okpuala Ngwa, where Abia State Governor Alex Otti welcomed him and his supporters into the Labour Party. Otti described the move as a significant enhancement for both the party and the development of the state.

“The Labour Party is founded on principles of equity, inclusiveness, and equal opportunities for all members,” Otti stated. He assured the new members that they would not face discrimination from existing party affiliates. “We don’t have old and new members,” he added.

The Governor praised Chief Ufomba for his dedication to the growth of Abia State and acknowledged his alignment with the administration’s reform initiatives.

In his remarks, Ufomba expressed his commitment to contributing to the prosperity of Abia State through the Labour Party. He also thanked Governor Otti and the party’s leadership in Abia for their warm reception.
