Actress Kemity denies sleeping with colleagues for movie roles

Nollywood Actress Kemisola Apesin Denies Allegations of Sex for Movie Roles

Nollywood actress Kemisola Apesin, popularly known as Kemity or Sidi, has publicly refuted allegations suggesting she engaged in sexual activities with a male colleague in exchange for film roles.

The actress’s denial follows her involvement in an escalating dispute between fellow actors Itele and Austin Emmanuel. Emmanuel, who has been absent from the screen for several years, recently accused Itele, a longtime friend, of betraying him during a difficult period.

Itele responded to Emmanuel’s claims by denying their friendship and asserting that he was an established producer before their meeting. This statement aggravated Emmanuel, who clarified that it was a senior colleague, Don Richard, who initially introduced Itele to him at the height of his career.

In the midst of the controversy, Kemity advised Emmanuel to cease targeting Itele and hinted at revealing damaging information about him if he persisted. Her comments drew backlash from supporters of Emmanuel, who accused her of using personal relationships to secure roles and threatened to disclose further secrets if she intervened again.

On Friday, after silence following the threats from Emmanuel’s camp, Kemity took to Instagram to counter the allegations. She stated, “There’s something I need to clear respectfully. I’ve never used my body or slept with anyone to get featured in any film or exchanged sex for an opportunity. Nobody should let anyone deceive them because of social media noise.”
