Nollywood Actress Laide Bakare Announces Third Marriage Plans
Nigerian actress and producer Laide Bakare has revealed plans to marry for the third time. In a recent interview with content creator Akin Abolade, Bakare stated that this upcoming marriage will be her first “official” wedding, despite having been married twice before.
“I will soon be getting married officially for the first time ever,” she said during the discussion. Preparations for the wedding are reportedly already underway; however, she did not provide details regarding the wedding date or the identity of her fiancé.
Bakare’s previous marriages include a union with U.S.-based businessman Olumide Okufulure, with whom she shares a daughter, Simi. Following their separation, she married Alhaji Mutairu Atanda Orilowo in 2012, and the couple welcomed two sons before their separation. Bakare ended her second marriage after Orilowo was declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in 2014 over allegations of fraudulent activities.
In an earlier conversation on the podcast “Real Life With Aunty Ayo,” Bakare expressed that she is open to the possibility of marrying multiple times, stating she could marry up to five times if previous unions do not succeed.
