Adamawa State Agriculture Commissioner Dies
The Commissioner for Agriculture in Adamawa State, Professor David Jatau, has passed away. His death was announced on Saturday by Humwashi Wonosikou, Chief Press Secretary to Governor Ahmadu Fintiri.
Professor Jatau reportedly died in Abuja following a brief illness. During his tenure, he was instrumental in launching various initiatives focused on enhancing food security, increasing agricultural productivity, and empowering local farmers.
Governor Fintiri praised Professor Jatau as a devoted public official who made significant contributions both as an esteemed academic and a committed public servant. In a statement, the governor remarked, “Professor Jatau was a man of intellect, integrity, and service. He brought his wealth of knowledge from the ivory tower into government and deployed it diligently for the growth of our agricultural sector and the well-being of our people.”
