Afro-fusion sensation Nkiru returns with conscious anthem ‘Suffer’

The single highlights the social ills of tribalism, corruption, poverty, and unemployment that have pervaded the society. The song also serves as a reminder for Nigerians to step up and root out the bad leaders who have retained power for decades.

Speaking about the single Nkiru says:

“I recorded ‘suffer’ in 2020 after the Lekki tollgate massacre. I felt like we weren’t being heard by the government and as a creative, I decided to record a song about it and get it off my chest.”

‘Suffer’ which employs chant is aimed at encouraging Nigerians to exercise their rights in the critical 2023 elections. Nkiru hopes to inspire Nigerians while also honoring those who lost their lives at the Lekki massacre.

Nkiru pronounced (In-KEE-RU) is a dynamic Afro-fusion singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur born in Canning town, UK. She’s a talented powerhouse that thrills crowds with her charm and soothing melody vocals.
