Alex Ekubo: I’m disappointed in those mocking Pastor Jerry Eze – Delta Gov’s aide

Delta State Governor’s Media Aide Defends Pastor Amid Criticism Following Actor’s Death
Delta State Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Media, Ossai Success, has expressed disappointment over the negative response directed at Pastor Jerry Eze, the Lead Pastor of Streams of Joy International, after the recent death of Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo.
Reports indicate that Pastor Eze has faced significant online backlash since a photograph of him praying for Ekubo circulated on social media. Critics targeted the pastor for not being able to heal Ekubo, who succumbed to cancer on Tuesday following a long battle with the disease.
In a post on his official Facebook account, Ossai defended Pastor Eze, maintaining that divine healing remains a possibility for believers. He stated, “I’m disappointed in those mocking Pastor Jerry Eze for praying for Alex Ekubo, just because he still died of cancer.”
He further remarked, “Whether you like it or not, God is still in the business of healing and miracles,” and cautioned against mockery, suggesting it could lead to negative consequences.
“The fact that Alex was prayed for doesn’t mean he couldn’t die. God knows what is best,” Ossai concluded.
The comments come as discussions around faith and healing continue to resonate within both religious and entertainment communities.
