Any pastor who can’t win ‘rich souls’ should be fired – Baba De Baba

Comedian Baba De Baba has backed Bishop Oyedepo over the sack of several pastors by the Living Faith Church Worldwide.

A pastor, Peter Godwin, had claimed he and over 40 other pastors were sacked because they were not generating enough income for their branches.

This led to reactions from some Nigerians on social media who questioned the system at Winners’ Chapel while others stated the church was within its rights to sack the pastors.

Reacting, Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, aka Winners Chapel Worldwide, stated the pastors were fired because they were “unfruitful, blatant failure.”

His position further divided people with a fraction opposing and the others defending his actions.

But Baba De Baba noted church in Nigeria is a revenue- making body and anyone found lacking behind should most certainly be fired.

He wrote: “Whether you believe it or not, church in Nigeria is business and any pastor who cannot win rich souls should be fired.”
