Music artist Kingsley Okonkwo, known as Kcee, has asserted that the allure of mystique in the entertainment industry is waning and may become entirely irrelevant within the next five years.
In a recent interview with Selah Meditate, Kcee emphasized that artists must position themselves as visible figures to maintain their relevance in the evolving music scene.
He cited discussions with American professors who echoed his belief that the trend of maintaining an enigmatic presence is on the decline.
“Absence used to create value in 2021-2022, but things have changed,” Kcee noted. “The mysterious factor won’t be relevant in five years. Artists need to be in people’s faces.”
Kcee’s comments reflect a broader shift in how artists relate to their audiences, highlighting the importance of visibility in today’s fast-paced entertainment landscape.
