As president, I will give peace to whoever wants it, war to who wants it – Peter Obi

Peter Obi Vows to Address Insecurity If Elected President
In a recent interview, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), outlined his approach to addressing insecurity in Nigeria, emphasizing a dual strategy of dialogue and force as necessary.
During the interview on the Nevon HQ podcast with journalist Rufai Oseni, Obi stated, “I’m going to talk with everybody. In uniting the country, anybody who wants peace, I will talk and negotiate with them. But anybody who wants war, we will go to war.”
Obi emphasized the importance of inclusivity in his vision for Nigeria, asserting that all citizens should have a stake in the country’s progress. “If you want to be part of this New Nigeria we are trying to build, that is possible, we can be together, but if not, you will face the consequence of your action,” he said.
He concluded with a call for collective honesty, stating, “We have got to a point where we have to tell ourselves the truth. Nobody will be left behind. There will be inclusiveness. We will show love and care for everybody.”
