The oil is soap free and pH balanced so it’s not going to upset your barrier. It contains a post-biotic active called I-modulia which reduces the sensation of itching – it’s not particularly long-lasting but it does seem to be very soothing at the time. Itchy bits tend to get dry quickly – the lipid-like omegas are helpful for that but overall it’s one part of an anti-itch process I think that would include plenty of moisturiser too. Obviously, if you think you have something more than just a temporary issue, you should see your doctor although I realise that is probably more difficult than trying to deal with it yourself. You can use Avene XeraCalm AD Lipid Replenishing Cleansing Oil on your face as well as your body – I liked it on my face and I liked the suppleness that it left on both face and body. Lucy uses a lot of Avene so it’s a trusted brand for us. You can find it on offer HERE for £12.37 (25% off) and the non-affiliate is HERE.
