Atiku vs Wike: PDP Chieftain Kicks Against Calls For Ayu’s Removal

Ayu Capable Of Leading PDP To Victory – Coalition

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Coalition for Professionals Group and Peaceful Co-existence (PDP-CUP) has expressed its support for the National Chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu.

The group in a statement released on Sunday said Ayu has the capacity to lead the party to victory in the 2023 general elections.

According to the group, the presidential candidate of the party, Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Ifeanyi Okowa have the competence and energy to solve Nigeria’s challenges.

The group claimed that the party’s presidential candidate is committed to fairness, justice and equity for all if elected next year.

The National Coordinator of the coalition, Muhammad Dan’auta on Sunday said Ayu has the capacity to ensure that the main opposition party comes out stronger from its current challenges.

The group called on Nigerians to be mindful of desperate politicians out to disunite them along ethnic, religious and regional lines.

2023: Ayu’s Position Threatened As PDP G5 Govs Negotiate

The stand of Iyorchia Ayu as the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) could collapse ahead of the 2023 presidential election.

This is as five aggrieved Governors in the party identified as G-5 and the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar plans to close ranks.

The G-5 governors, which include Governors Nyesom Wike (Rivers State), Samuel Ortom (Benue State), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu State) Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia State) and Seyi Makinde (Oyo State) had pulled out of the party’s presidential campaign council due to Ayu’s failure to resign from office.

The Governors had condemned northern dominance in key positions in the party.
