Benue APC Crisis Resolved Through Reconciliation
The ongoing crisis within the Benue State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) appears to have reached a resolution following a reconciliation meeting between Governor Hyacinth Alia and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume.
The meeting was convened at the request of President Bola Tinubu, with Governor Alia inviting Akume to participate. It took place at the Banquet Hall of the Benue State Government House and included political leaders, traditional rulers, and clerics from across the state.
After the meeting, Governor Alia announced that one key resolution was for the party to focus on his return to office in the 2027 elections. He also indicated that all APC members of the National Assembly from Benue State are expected to seek re-election in the upcoming general elections.
