Dolly Parton, the celebrated American singer, songwriter, and actress, has passed away at the age of 80. Her death was confirmed by her nephew and security chief, Bryan Seever, in a video shared on Parton’s official social media accounts on Tuesday.
Parton, a towering figure in the country music genre, had a profound impact on the music industry and popular culture throughout her career. She was best known for iconic songs such as “Jolene” and “I Will Always Love You,” which resonated with audiences worldwide.
Seever stated that Parton wished for “I Will Always Love You” to serve as her final farewell.
