Nigerian Senate Confirms Muttaqha Rabe Darma as Minister
The Nigerian Senate has officially confirmed Muttaqha Rabe Darma as a minister in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Darma’s confirmation comes after a screening session held on Thursday, following his nomination by President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday. He is set to succeed Ahmed Musa Dangiwa as the Minister of Housing and Urban Development.
During the plenary session, Senate President Godswill Akpabio announced the president’s communication regarding Darma’s nomination. He referred the matter to the Committee of the Whole for further legislative consideration, instructing the committee to report back promptly.
Previously, Darma served as the Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF).
