Yobe State Governor Appoints Acting Secretary to the State Government
Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni has appointed Dr. Mohammed Goje as the Acting Secretary to the State Government, effective immediately.
The announcement was made Wednesday in a statement from Buni’s Media Aide, Mamman Mohammed. Dr. Goje previously served as the Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA).
In the statement, Governor Buni urged Goje to commit himself to serving the state and enhancing the well-being of its residents.
This appointment follows the emergence of Baba Malam Wali, the former Secretary to the State Government, as a leading candidate for the governorship ahead of the 2027 election.
