Burna Boy becomes African artiste with most Billboard Hot 100 entries

Burna Boy Surpasses Tems for Most Billboard U.S. Hot 100 Entries by an African Artist
Nigerian singer Damini Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy, has set a new record for the most entries on the Billboard U.S. Hot 100 chart by an African artist, breaking a previous tie with his colleague Tems.
Both artists were previously tied with eight entries each, but Burna Boy achieved a new milestone this week with the release of “Dai Dai,” a collaboration with Shakira, which debuted at number 75 on the chart. This brings Burna Boy’s total to nine entries.
“Dai Dai” gained significant attention following its performance by Burna Boy and Shakira during the opening ceremony of the World Cup.
In addition to this achievement, Burna Boy has also become the first African artist to have at least one song charted on the Billboard Hot 100 for six consecutive years. His past entries include “Loved By You” (2021), “Last Last” (2022), “Sittin’ On Top Of The World” and “Talibans II” (2023), “Just Like Me” and “We Pray” (2024), “WGFT” (2025), and now “Only You” and “Dai Dai” (2026).
