The two shared a light-hearted moment during rehearsals at MetLife Stadium ahead of the tournament’s inaugural halftime show, scheduled for Sunday.

Burna Boy took to social media platform X to share a video of the pair laughing and embracing each other, showcasing their excitement for the upcoming performance during the global sporting event.

The duo is set to headline the halftime entertainment, performing “Dai Dai,” the official anthem of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. FIFA confirmed their participation, highlighting the significance of this collaboration.

In addition to Burna Boy and Shakira, the halftime show is anticipated to feature a host of celebrity performances, including BTS, Madonna, Justin Bieber, conductor Gustavo Dudamel, and the PS22 Chorus from Coldplay. Characters from Sesame Street and The Muppets are also expected to make appearances, adding to the spectacle.

Reports indicate that the halftime segment will exceed the traditional 15-minute break, allowing space for the landmark performance and accompanying festivities.

The World Cup final will see Spain take on Argentina, with millions of viewers expected to tune in for both the football match and the entertainment array.
