Canberra hold on after second half fade-out

Post-game, Canberra Raiders coach Ricky Stuart didn’t hide his disappointment with his side’s second half fade-out after the letting the Dragons back into the game.

“I felt sorry for our fans, we should have put them away. To say I’m disappointed in that second half is an understatement to be honest,” he told Nine’s coverage.

“I’m getting sick of it, it just frustrates me how we’re letting other teams back in the game.

“We got beaten convincingly three times this year in the second half, they try hard these blokes and I never knock them for their effort (but) even getting that 10-point lead again and trying to go around them, we don’t need to do little, simple pieces of play like that, we need to be smarter.”
