Carter Efe vows to beat Speed Darlington in October 1 celebrity boxing bout

Nigerian content creator Carter Efe has expressed his determination to defeat entertainer Speed Darlington in an upcoming boxing match, scheduled for October 1. Efe cited Speed’s remarks about popular musician Burna Boy as a significant motivating factor for his challenge.
Carter and Speed faced off at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos, where tensions were palpable. During the exchange, Carter questioned Speed’s proximity to security personnel, asking him to confront him without a bouncer present. “Why are you following a bouncer? Let him leave the two of us. I want to show you that I am a 24-year-old boy,” Carter said.
In an interview with Hip TV prior to the fight, Carter claimed that Speed would not be able to uncover any secrets about him. “Speed Darlington can never expose me. I’m the one with people’s secrets,” he asserted.
Carter elaborated on his motivation for the match, specifically addressing Speed’s past comment referring to Burna Boy. “The major reason I want to beat Speed Darlington is because he called Burna Boy gay. How can he say that about a prominent artist? If I don’t stop him, he’ll say it about Davido too,” Carter stated.
Beyond claiming victory, Efe expressed a desire to cause embarrassment to his opponent. “I want to beat Speed to embarrassment,” he said.
The bout, dubbed “Chaos in the Ring,” is set to take place next month.
