Champions League table: PSG, Liverpool only perfect teams after Tuesday's matches

Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool Maintain Perfect Starts in Champions League

PARIS — Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool are the only two teams to secure victories in all three of their opening matches in the UEFA Champions League, following the latest round of fixtures on Tuesday.

In a high-octane match in Paris, PSG triumphed over FC Barcelona, 4-2, with late goals from Vitinha and Fabian Ruiz sealing the win. The game featured an action-packed scoring sequence, where PSG’s Desire Doue and Lucas Hernandez found the net, but their efforts were matched by Barcelona’s goals from Xavi Espart and Lamine Yamal.

With this victory, PSG retains its position at the top of the group with a +9 goal difference. Liverpool also maintained their perfect record, overcoming Villarreal 4-2 at Anfield after trailing initially in the match.

The Champions League standings are currently rounded out by Stuttgart, Aston Villa, and Barcelona in the top five positions. Following Tuesday’s matches, FC Porto, Lille, Galatasaray, and Slovan Bratislava occupy the bottom four places in the group.

The tournament continues with additional fixtures scheduled for Wednesday.
