Nollywood actor Chinedu Ikedieze aka Aki might just be setting the records as the first Nigerian actor to get his own NFTs.
The actor recently confirmed that memes of his film character, Aki will be minted into non-fungible tokens, a digital asset which could be videos, pictures, audio, and other types of digital files.
The award-winning Nollywood comic actor, who gained popularity and breakthrough in the industry after the movie “Aki ni Ukwa” shared the information on his Instagram page on Tuesday, June 9, 2021.

While sharing a photo of a meme with inscriptions on it and thanking fans for their patronage, Aki stated;
“Now you have a chance to own some of the widely popular Aki memes minted as NFTs. Buyers will get a personalized video message from me. Part of the proceeds will go towards various charitable causes across Africa.”
