Actor Hanks Anuku has opened up about the profound effects the death of his partner had on his life and career. His comments come amid increasing concern for his mental health following several public appearances in which he appeared distressed.

Recent footage captured Anuku participating in a deliverance session at a church in Abuja. Following this event, he shared a video on social media discussing his emotional struggles. Anuku revealed that the loss of his partner, who was also the mother of his children, left him feeling shattered and struggling to cope.

He emphasized the trauma he experienced, stating that he withdrew from social interactions and isolated himself during this difficult period. “A lot of you know me, and I guess you have seen a lot online about me. I have been through a lot of traumatic situations,” he said, reflecting on his partner’s untimely death. “I wanted to marry her, but she went to the great beyond too soon.”

Anuku noted that prior to the deliverance, he felt “weighed down, very heavy and uncomfortable.” He expressed a sense of renewal after the session, stating, “Now I feel as light as a feather, like a newborn baby. I feel so much joy now. There’s laughter and dancing in me again.”

In previous statements, Anuku acknowledged his struggles with depression, linking them to a drinking habit he developed as a coping mechanism.
